Weekly Newsletter Nov. 14 '25 - From Corporate Girly to Small Business Owner

Hi there, designer šŸ‘‹

12 incredible years in the design world going into my 13th year in less than 2 months! As I look back, I can’t help but feel grateful for every twist, turn, and lesson that got me here.

Design has always been more than a job to me - it’s who I am. From the days of rearranging my childhood furniture to finally getting accepted into FIT after my first rejection, every step taught me resilience, creativity, and the beauty of never giving up on your dreams.

After years in the corporate design world - the late nights, the pressure, the endless deadlines - I realized I wanted more freedom, more meaning, and more connection. That’s when I built Anastasia Mitrovic Interiors LLC… and eventually, Interior Design Den.

Interior Design Den was born out of one simple idea: to help other designers feel supported and confident using the same tools that changed my own career. I wanted to create the kind of mentorship I wished I had - one that combines skill-building, storytelling, and community.

So if you’re here reading this, I want to say a huge thank you. Whether you’re a new designer eager to master SketchUp, Enscape, and AutoCAD - or a seasoned pro looking to streamline your workflow - you’re in the right place.

This newsletter is where I’ll share behind-the-scenes stories, design insights, practical tips, and honest reflections about growing as a designer and as a human being. Think of it as our creative corner - where we learn, laugh, and flourish together.

Here’s to designing with passion, courage, and heart. From one designer to another  welcome to the next chapter of your journey šŸ’š

With love & care,
Ana

Weekly Newsletter Feb. 6 '26 - Flat Fee vs. Per Square Footage for Full-Design Service
Hi there, designer šŸ‘‹ This week, something really special happened. One of my closest friends reached out and asked for help with her very first client proposal. We used to work together back in corporate - long days, big presentations, senior-level work… and paychecks that absolutely did not reflect the effort. Now she’s starting her own business, and I couldn’t be more excited for her! Of cour...
Weekly Newsletter Jan. 30 '26 - Why Structure Makes Client Presentations Easier
Hi there, designer šŸ‘‹ I wrapped up another client presentation this morning, and it went really well!Although I’m super tired after another long week and will definitely be going to bed at 9 tonight šŸ˜‚ It went well not because the design was flashy - it worked because it was well structured. The presentation was clear, intentional, and easy to follow - for both me and the client. And it was a goo...
Weekly Newsletter Jan. 23 '26 - Five Years Later: What Hard Work Really Builds
Hi there, designer šŸ‘‹ I can still remember it so vividly - my son was just six months old when I looked at my husband and said, ā€œDo you believe in me?ā€And he smiled and said, "I believe in you more than I believe in myself!" I was postpartum, exhausted, and had no idea what I was doing -but something inside me said: why wait? So I registered my business that week and received a business licenseĀ ...
