Figure out what you really need to furnish that room and then take a look around at local used furniture stores. We found a great deal on a used Bassett Sofa & Chair just a few years old, it was clean, comfortable and sturdy. The original price of the set was over $3000 we bought the furniture used for $500. Next stop we found a great set of tables made by Ethan Allen these tables were in good shape (couple of scratches and a water ring) and made with solid wood not press board and we bought the set for $350. We found two great Hemispheres lamps for $40 each and ended up with a room full of quality used furniture that we love and had enough to go buy a 55” TV and a beautiful stand. We furnished the same room with used furniture that will last for years for under $2000 and picked the TV we actually wanted.
